Responsible for the Long-term

Portco: A Sustainable Packaging Company

Being responsible. It’s one of the core tenets of who we are and how we operate. We’re committed to manufacturing our products with a focus on sustainability.

In recent years, we have committed significant resources to help our customers develop sustainable packages for their products. In 2007, we made our own manufacturing plants and processes more sustainable by adding solventless laminations to our product line. Our new state-of-the-art laminator, along with our high-end film printing capabilities, allow us to responsibly meet the needs of a large range of new customers and markets. Soon, we’ll be able to serve even more customer needs through our new pouching capabilities.

From engaging in responsible purchasing practices throughout our entire supply chain, to educating customers on the most sustainable materials for their packaging needs, we find the most efficient practices and processes. We reduce our energy demands through education and thoughtful machine acquisitions, and lower our landfill waste by finding ways to recycle or reuse our waste material.

Our efforts provide a safe work environment for our employees, ensuring that our facility meets or exceeds all federal laws and safety standards.

We will continue to actively educate our employees and, when issues arise, continue to discuss our progress and how to most effectively meet challenges. We’re constantly improving and consistently demonstrating a willingness to reevaluate our goals as we move forward.

We understand that without our employees we cannot succeed as a business. Our commitment to our employees ultimately means we have the best people in place to serve our customers.
