FTIR Technology

Has Arrived at Portco!

What is it?

“Fourier Transform Infrared” Technology

What is it used for?

To analyze existing film structures in order to identify the specific makeup, including additives and coatings, based on fingerprint scans.  Fingerprint scans provide detailed molecular feedback, identifying the contents of the film.  It is also used to ensure that all incoming raw materials meet our set specifications.

Benefits?

FTIR technology gives us a quick and accurate view of what is being used in existing film structures.  This allows us to quickly match a proven structure for you or determine where we can potentially make improvements.
